Here I Am!

So, I haven't been getting along so swell this month. I had surgery on 4/13, which went ok, but was quite painful. On 4/20, I was back at the doctor because my incisions were infected. I also went back to work that day. This past Monday, I got my stitches out, but the incisions are still not quite right. They still have infection. I am just worn out. I did stamp a touch to take my mind off the pain. Maybe that's what inspired this card here...

Stamp Sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, Great Friend, Matchbox Messages, Thoughts & Prayers
Ink: Sahara Sand, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy
Paper: Confetti Cream, Manhattan DSP
Accessories: Kraft Corduroy brad, Very Vanilla small grommet
Big Shot: Beautiful Butterfies Bigz die
I actually did stamp in the inside of this card. I'm in a digiswap again, so I will be posting some cards made by my sideline using Occasions Mini Catty stuff... stay tuned!

Embossed Friend

I wish I could send this card to all of you that have emailed me and let comments giving me encouragement. It means a LOT to me. You are ALL my Fabulous Friends! I love the stamping community for that! Lest I be banned, my Cookie (Lee) Sisters have been absolutely fabulous, as well. I got into an expo at a local pizza place... the event is called Sip-N-Shop... how cute?! Anyway, the event turns out to be 2 days after my surgery to remove the cancer. My Cookie Sister (and adopted upline) said she would do it for me if I wasn't up to it, AND give me the profit. Can you believe that?!?! Mel - I don't know what I would do without you! Ok, before I get too sappy, let me explain this OMG SIMPLE card...
Stamp Set: Oval All
Ink: Certainly Celery
Paper: Blush Blossom (base), Whisper White (oval), Certainly Celery (scallop oval)
Accessories: Whisper White Organza ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Ice Circle Rhinestone brad, Taken with Teal Stampin' Write marker (to color flower)
Punches: Scallop Oval, Large Oval
Big Shot: Manhattan Flower textured impressions die
Seriously - that's it! I started to sand over the die, but it didn't really make a difference because the Blush Blossom was so light, so I stopped wasting my time. Now, the ribbon... I did a little differently here. But it's CRAZY easy... All I did was fold down the edges and secure the fold with tape runner. Yup, that's it! I had to use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the scalloped oval because of the rhinestone brad and the folds of the ribbon, but you can't see it. Pop dots would be too tall for this. My husband loved this card, so the moms will be getting something similar for Mother's Day. Speaking of husband... he will be HOME TOMORROW!!!!! Only for two weeks, but I'll take it! I may be light in posting over the next two weeks, as I spend time with him instead of my stamps, but I'll be back. Until next time...

Did Some Stampin' For Ya...

My first project is a simple 3x3. I used a sketch from the May/June PaperCrafts magazine, but modified it in my own way, of course. I even pierced! Look at me go!

Stamp Set: Great Friend
Ink: Not Quite Navy (butterfly), Chocolate Chip (sentiment)
Paper: Baja Breeze (base), Tangarine Tango (scallop), Sahara Sand (butterfly)
Accessories: Paper Piercing tool, Priceless Classy Brass (you don't honestly think I did that spiral all by myself - do you?!?!), Stampin' Dimensionals (for wings)
Big Shot: Scallop Circle # 2 Bigz die

The next project is the start of the Easter gifts my team will get. Instead of Easter Baskets, they will get Easter bags. Here are the bag toppers that I made for them...

Stamp Set: A Good Egg (how cute IS that little chicken?!?!)
Ink: Basic Gray (chicken), Not Quite Navy (sentiment)
Paper: SAB Delicate Dots DSP, So Saffron
Accessory: Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker
Punch: Scallop Circle
Big Shot: Top Note Bigz Die... I *told* you I was workin' on something for that die!
Well, I'm off to have some oatmeal for breakfast... thanks for stopping by!

Occasions Mini is HERE!

Go on... get excited! The occasions mini catty is open for business. I have a little note of thanks to all of you for being SO supportive of me during this trying time. You can see the whole mini HERE, and trust me - it's worth it! Let me explain this little guy for a minute...
Stamp Sets: Great Friend (stamp on the blue label), Matchbox Messages (kiwi label)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (kiwi label), Whisper White (blue label)
Paper: Taste of Textiles (new textured paper, card base), Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: So Saffron 7/8" Poly-Twill
Punch: Slit
Big Shot: Matchbox XL Die (to punch the labels)
Card Size: 4" x 4"
The Matchbox Die has 3 little labels that coordinate with the Great Friend and Matchbox Messages sets (all in the Occasions mini catty). Yeah, that sold me on that die. I have a couple more items I've made with those labels, so stay tuned... I have one more label sitting on my desk begging to be used, so I'm off...

LAST DAY to Sell-a-Brate!

Before I forgot (again), let me tell the wonderful ladies who won my Blog Candy - NO, I have NOT forgotten about you, and I'm sorry! I was waiting on *something* that was backordered (or just not shipped to me, not sure which) to make your items. That came Friday. But, I'm sorry to say I just haven't been creative or interested in stamping. Thursday, I was told I had basal skin cancer, which is the best news you can get on that topic. But, it's really taken a lot out of me with physical therapy for the neck, the brace on the foot, and now this. I go to the doctor today to talk about treatment options, and maybe that will put me in a better light. Ok, enough sad crappy talk... STAMPIN!!!!
This card by Deb uses a pretty cool die... you can move that little "hole" wherever you want it. Yes, that's on the list...

Christy made another card with the set I almost didn't get... now, if I would just USE it! I love what she did with that filigree brad! How cute!

Ok, I'm going to try to stamp some for you (after I put in my last sell-a-bration order, of course!)... Can you believe this is the end of March?!?!?! Where was January? Did we HAVE a February this year???? Am I the only one who's feeling this??? Make it a good one!

Last 2 Days to Sell-a-Brate!

Here are a couple of cards... I love the layout of Karen's card... how simple, but oh so cute!

And a little reminder that Easter is just around the corner... and yes, there are some Easter goodies in the works right now. I worked on them this weekend.

I'm loving the little chickie window here! I have physical therapy (again) tonight, so I'm not certain if I'm going to get to work on the projects tonight, but here's a hint... I used my NEW Top Note die... oh yes, I did!

More SAB Inspiration - Time is Running Out!

So, I didn't get that last page remade. Last night was girl's night out, and then one of the girls had a birthday yesterday, so... well, I got home a touch late, and I'm moving a touch slow this am. This weekend, I'm going to try to do even MORE pages, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, enjoy some cute samples. The first is part of the Occasions Mini Catty pre-order that you can do right now. There are a few sets to get you stampin' for Easter. Here's one of them by Susan Smith... how simple is this, but OH SO cute (again with the Top Note die, too)!

The next is by Karen, and I'm TOTALLY going to use that Scallop Circle punch and ribbon for an award of some kind... oh, the wheel are turnin'....

Tomorrow, I'm going to a craft fair, so I'll come back with the NEED to be creative... look out, here I come!
